1. How long have you been in business?
Sterling Cleaning Services, Inc. has been in business since 1987. Since then, we have joined three other janitorial service companies adding their employees and years of experience. We are also members of the BSCAI (Building Service Contractor Association International), ABSCM (Affiliated Building Service Contractors of Michigan), BOMA (Building Owners Manager Association), the local Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau.

3. Do you provide Workmen's Compensation for all you employees?

4. Can I call your company for other janitorial jobs I may need done that are not included in the contract?
Sterling Cleaning Services, Inc. offers a variety of services. We want to be your "one phone call away" maintenance company. We offer services such as floor stripping and waxing, carpet cleaning, power washing, painting, and yes, even window washing. Our trained cleaning technicians can handle any job. All carpet technicians are IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Cleaning) certified and use state of the art truck mounted equipment.

5. Do you interview and screen your employees?
Each employee is screened and interviewed by two office staff employees at two different times. This is to ensure that we are hiring an employee that will be proud to wear a Sterling Cleaning Services, Inc. uniform. We believe that a happy employee is a hardworking employee.

6. Do you have a training program for your employees?
Sterling Cleaning Services, Inc. makes sure that all employees are fully trained. We use training tapes, seminars and demonstrations to train our employees. Most importantly, we provide on the job training with a manager at all sites. All employees are trained in this manner regardless of experience that the employee claims to have. We also train our staff in blood-borne pathogens and CPR along with basic first aid.

7. Do you check on your employees after they are trained?
Yes, we have a quality control manager who goes from job to job checking not only the performance of our employees, but also checking the supplies. Most importantly, our quality control manger checks the condition of the building.

8. What is your policy on theft by one of your employees?
Theft is grounds for immediate dismissal. All the years Sterling Cleaning Services, Inc. has been in business, this has not been a problem. Should a theft occur, Sterling Cleaning Services, Inc. will cooperate fully with the customer and the authorities. We run a Michigan State background check on all employees hired, as well as random drug screening.

9. If I have a complaint, how is it handled and how soon can I expect a solution?
Sterling Cleaning Services, Inc. has a quality control manager just for that reason. As we are committed to getting it right the first time, if ever a problem does arise our quality managers will address your concerns; providing you with prompt and effective resolution.

10. How do I know that I am getting the service that I am paying for?
Monthly evaluation sheets make it easy for you as the customer to let us know if our service is at a "high performance" quality level. With this monthly evaluation, we hope that our team can collaborate to exceed the standards of janitorial cleanliness.

11. Do you follow MIOSHA regulations and have MSDS at our location?
Sterling Cleaning Services, Inc. follows all MIOSHA regulations and guidelines. All employees are trained to handle all chemicals and have all safety information at their disposal. All MSDS packets are in every janitorial closet in every building.
